Since the beginning, my mission has always been to present the coastal villages that make up the greater Milbridge area in the best possible light.  Let me tell you why.

The world is just waking up to the discovery of our pristine rivers, seas and shores and the abundant and varied wildlife all around us.  Many are learning about the unique outdoor recreational opportunities that abound at our national park at Acadia, numerous state reserve lands and on the many offshore islands that dot the coast.

And people are drawn to the same natural beauty and splendor of our coastal and forested landscapes that provides inspiration for the many artists, writers, musicians and fine craftspeople who make this place home and add richness to our culture.

I believe that VisitMilbridge.com presents all of the this and more and on a platform that is sophisticated, easy to use and accessible to everyone from anywhere.

And it seems to be working.  We just surpassed our 30,000 visit mark -- a remarkable when you consider I've only been tracking these numbers since November 2010.  During that time I've learned that visitors to the VisitMilbridge.com site come not only from Milbridge, Washington County and Maine; but from all over the United States and from Canada, Europe and Japan too!

I also learned that people aren't waiting until "tourist season" to do all of their Maine research, they are doing it year-round.  And, many of the people who visit our site are looking for local vacation rental accommodation and lodging information.   I know.  I've been taking their calls!

So in response I'm creating a space for property owners and others to advertise their vacation rentals right here on VisitMilbridge.com.  You can be sure that our content-rich and visually attractive site will help to support your advertising efforts by providing potential visitors with the information they need to plan their future Downeast Maine vacation.
